Relax & Unwind

Do you find it sometimes hard to go to sleep after a day of work? Is it hard for your mind to quiet down and for your body to relax? I would like to share some practices that have helped me relax and unwind after a busy day.

Meditation

Sit or lay comfortably with your eyes closed. With your inhales, breathe into the belly and expand your belly. With your exhales, lower the belly. Stay present with your breath for a few minutes. You can even place your hand on your belly to feel the movement even more. You will notice how you begin to calm down.

Atmosphere

Create an atmosphere that feels soothing. Clean up your space. Light a candle, play some mantra music or relaxing music. Light your diffuser with some essential oils. And my not so secret tip, rub a few drops of the lavender oil on the bottoms of your feet and you will quickly feel more relaxed and at ease.
